Own a truly extraordinary piece of Palm Desert history. Set within the prestigious, guard-gated Ironwood Country Club, this approximately 2.2-acre legacy property is one of the last remaining original interior parcels from the community's earliest days and carries a remarkable connection to legendary entertainer Bing Crosby. In 1957, Crosby acquired 16 acres within the former Silver Spur Ranch, creating a private enclave surrounded by close friends and fellow Hollywood luminaries. This offering is part of that original acreage and sits immediately adjacent to Crosby's former Palm Desert residence. The surrounding neighborhood also carries the intrigue of JFK Trail and the fascinating history associated with President John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe. Today, the property presents an extraordinary opportunity for a discerning buyer, developer, or visionary looking to create an exceptional private compound or luxury residential enclave. The approximately 2.2-acre site has been divided into three parcels, with a fourth parcel approved subject to conditions, creating tremendous flexibility for development.
The setting is equally compelling. Panoramic views of the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop, while remnants of the property's storied past including its iconic swimming pool and massive natural boulder once used as a diving platform remain as a unique connection to another era.
